New Concept Vehicles 2016 SEMA Show

According to DigitalTrends.com the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas is “unlike conventional auto shows” because “the concept vehicles unveiled at SEMA aren’t built to show off future styling or technology, they’re just built to be cool.” To aptly fit SEMA’s theme, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is set to showcase six concept vehicles — a good mix of models representing past and present.

The Dodge Shakedown Challenger  boasts of a 485-horsepower Hemi V8 combined with a six-speed manual transmission from a Viper; Brembo brakes from a Challenger SRT Hellcat; and headlights and taillights from a 2017 Challenger.

The Dodge Shakedown Challenger weaves together design cues from the past and present to create a uniquely original Mopar creation.

Modern trucks are also part of FCA’s showcase, which include the Ram Macho Power Wagon (based from the Ram Power Wagon off-road truck but with added enhancements like a 4.0-inch lift kit and 37-inch Nitto Trail Grappler MT tires.

The Dodge Durango Shaker gravitates towards on a on-road performance, with its 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine — used in FCA SRT performance models like the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392.

The last two concept vehicles: the Ram ProMaster and the Chrysler Pacifica Cadence weren’t souped up for performance but have their own share of bells and whistles.

“The Ram ProMaster pit stop is a bar on wheels, complete with keg storage and four onboard taps,” describes DigitalTrends.com, while the Chrysler Pacifica Cadence showcases accessories available to the redesigned 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. New features include custom 20-inch wheels and a surfboard carrier.
